Integrating Technology Matrix

This website was one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time.  As a technology integration specialist I would really like to use this to get my teachers more excited about technology.  I Pasted it to my website and hope my teachers will take the time to look at it.  It does a great job of showing different videos of the different ways a teacher could use technology in their classroom.  This matrix does a great job of matching up the levels of integrating technology in the classroom with the characteristics of what is going on in the classroom.  It is a great resource to better a teachers integrating of technology.  

ELearning is vastly growing in schools all around the world.  There are many traditional classrooms that have started to adopt the concept of eLearning with blended learning, computer assisted instruction, digital literacy and many other eLearning tools.  Through some of my personal observations and experiences I have noticed that some students who are more bashful and shy will greatly excel in the concept of eLearning.  Students who do not feel they have a voice in the class might feel more comfortable blogging what they think or using an online tool to help the teacher understand them better.  ELearning will allow educators to have a broader chance to reach out to more of their students if not every.  We are a techno society and our school systems are moving closer and closer to higher leveed technology usage.  I had a student in my 5th grade class who would never participate in discussion; she would also never do her journal writing.  Once we started blogging our journals and I started using online testing more, she started to shine in her writings and discussions.  I came to find out that she had a bad experience at another school telling her she is always off topic and she always gave dumb answers.  She also could not write very well so she did not enjoy writing in her journal.  Once everything was done online she felt comfortable using the computers.
